The Lord's Prayer
part 2

"One time Jesus was praying in a place (probably around the campfire). When he finished, one of his followers said to him… ‘Lord, teach us how to pray.’” Jesus responded, ‘You should pray like this:

Our Father in  heaven,  we pray that your name will
always be  kept  holy. We pray  that  your  kingdom
will come. We pray that what you want will be done
here on earth as it is in heaven. Give us the food we
need for each day.  Forgive the sins  we have done,
just as we have forgiven those who did wrong to us.
Do not cause us to be tested; but save us from evil.’

In the first half of this model, we are taught to connect with our spirituality, with the Loving Presence of God within, and to activate the Creative Process with our Source of All-Good:  as within – so without.

The second half of the prayer model can be divided into three parts:

      1. Daily Bread:  Bring into expression today whatever I need to
          provide sustenance and well-being

      2. Forgiveness: Remove anything and everything that is working
against my well being,  or that no longer serves me

    3. Guidance:  Lead me away from temptation -- show me the way
around it. Lead me through destiny's challenges -- help me to
take the “high road” above it

So let us begin and make our love-connection with God and go to our hearts in prayer:

Loving Spirit of Infinity  -- Creator  of  all-that-is, Awesome
is your Cosmic Presence! Your magnanimous Heart welcomes
me to a new day in living, and offers to me a new fountain for
giving. Your boundless Love for Life flows through me freely
and fully. You  shower me with  multitudinous  opportunities
for loving.  You teach me to see each fork as an adventure un-
folding, empowering me to release limitations, stretching and
expanding me beyond expectation. O Spirit of God in me,
reveal through me, anything and everything that stands be-
tween me and my greater good. Your merciful Heart embraces
my heart lifting me above the tempest deep. Guide my steps,
sweet Spirit; inspire me to know and to trust Your Voice-of-
Silence. Send forth Your Light of Understanding throughout
this day. Unveil to me and all Your pristine Presence of Love
moment by moment, every step along the way.
