Comparing Jesus and Einstein

Quotes from Einstein and Jesus

Reverend Virgil Brewer

Essay-88

                                 Albert Einstein:   “I  have  no
                                   special talents. One cannot help
but be  in awe when he contem-
                                   plates the mysteries  of eternity,
                                   of life ...”

Albert: “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”

Albert: “I believe in intuition and inspiration … I was sitting in a chair ... when all of a sudden a thought occurred to me: ‘If a person falls freely he will not feel his own weight.’ I was startled! This simple thought made a deep impression on me. It impelled me toward a theory of gravitation.”

Albert: “The valuation of life and all its nobler expressions can only come out of the soul’s yearning toward its own destiny … Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.”

Albert: “War cannot be humanized. It can only be eliminated ... Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding ... One does not make wars less likely by formulating rules of warfare...  ”

Albert: “All these fifty years of conscious brooding have brought me no nearer to the answer to the question, 'What are light quanta?' … For the rest of my life I will reflect on what light is.”

Einstein and Jesus:
Both ... a Genius
Authored by Reverend Virgil Brewer at Unity Chapel

Jesus  Christ:    Knowledge  of
the kingdom of heaven has been
given to you…Those who under-
stand  these   mysteries  will   be
given more knowledge and  they
will excel in understanding them."

Jesus:  “The truth is, you must change your thinking and become like little children … Change the way you think and act and believe the good news …”

Jesus: “Don’t push these children away. Don’t ever get between them and me. These children are at the very center of life in the kingdom. Mark this: Unless you accept God’s kingdom in the simplicity of a child, you’ll never get in.”

Jesus: “What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? … Most certainly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom.”

Jesus: Great blessings belong to those who work to bring peace… How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes.”

Jesus (to you and me and Albert): “I am the light of the world ...You are the light of the world … If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.”
Albert Einstein was a science genius and Jesus was a spiritual genius. Of course, you know which is which, but let us compare these two enlightened souls to see if they agree with each other. What do you think?
